Hello :)
Because we
talked so much about creativity the last days I decided to create a muesli bar
yesterday. I thought recipes that already exist aren’t very ‘creative’ and so I
made my own one. Well. The title probably makes you guess that it’s not really
clear what this post will be about. I didn’t have enough ‘glue’ for a muesli
bar and so I just made a normal but yummy muesli out of it. If you take the
double amount of fat, honey and liquid it might be enough for bars ;) Actually
it’s stupid to give you the exact information about my muesli but if you want
the same you can read the ingredients underneath. Otherwise: be creative and
just try it out!
For ca. 6
portions you need:
* 200g Porridge
oats
* 30g Sesame
* 30g Desiccated
coconut
* 75g Sunflower
seeds
* 75g Raisins
* 1 Apple
* 1 Carrot
* 25g Butter/ Margarine
* 3 tbsp Honey
* 3 tbsp Lemon
juice
* Milk or
yoghurt
Preparation:
At first set
the porridge oats, the almonds, the sesame, the desiccated coconut, the
sunflower seeds and raisins into a big bowl. Then grate the apple and the
carrot and press as much juice as possible out of it into another bowl. Then
give the fat into a pot and melt it, after this add the honey and finally the
apple-carrot- and lemon juice. Then let it cook about till a kind of syrup develops.
[For a tiny vanilla flavour just add a small piece of vanilla bean in the pot
(but then you have to fish it out later).]
Finally mix
the apple, the carrot, the syrup and all cereals very well. Put it on a sheet for
drying and after about 10 minutes you can enjoy your muesli with milk or
yoghurt.
As I alread said, maybe it’s enough for bars with the double amount of
syrup ;)
Great fun
when trying it out and good appetite!
PS.: I forgot
the sunflower seeds on the picture.. just imagine them
PPS.: Keep
the muesli in the fridge and consume it pretty fast because of the fresh
fruits. Or you dry the fruits in the oven or already take small cut dried
fruit.
