I'll stop wearing black...

...when they invent a darker color.
I read this sentence in the last glamour magazine and I really liked it. I'm not just a black wearer, but I love this 'color'. You can just combine it with everything and it's alawys a bit in the background. Last month you couldn't read this post but you can see pictures in my second fave color right now!
Because of my term paper about Paris' fashion, I worked a lot with this color. Isn't one of the most famous dresses the little black dress? It was invented by Coco Chanel. After the death of her big love Boy Capel she started working again but all seemed to be black. She let painted her whole flat in black and this color even found a place in her creations. Before black was just used for sorrow clothes and attendants but Chanel made a revolution with her dress. I still remember another story concerning this topic. When Chanel was in the US some people wanted to shoot a movie about her, Hepburn was chosen as main part. Chanel was content with the idea of being played by Audrey Hepburn, the young beautiful actor. But that was a mistake, Katharine Hepburn, about 20 years older than Audrey should play the role. Chanel was very angry about it. Isn't it ironic that Audrey Hepburn brought the little black dress back in the focus a few years later with her famous movie Breakfast at Tiffany's? And Monifa Miller is very right with the sentence 'A black dress, it's never going to go out of style.' In the following photo you can see Chanel in her celebrated dress.

Now let's go on with fashion because what would the winter be without a coat? Last year I bought this pretty black one. I didn't like the button and so my kind mum changed them for me. Now it's kind of an unique copy. I love the style even I don't know why. But I'm looking forward to the new things I'll experience with it. Waiting several hours for the next Sunrise Avenue concert or running through Bayreuth for seeing Frederic Heidorn. We'll see but I'm sure we'll be a great team!

That was probably enough fashion for one month. The most obvious black thing in winter is the sky. Even if it's before 04pm you have to turn on the light, I hate it :/ This night sky might be romantic but I prefer being outside till 10pm without needing any light. Summer, I miss you!

‚Anziehungskraft‘

[14.10.2013]
Saturday, 13:21. My dad gives me a package. With a lot of anticipation I open the small box. Half a minute later a handsome man in the best age grins at me. Next to his photo you can read  ‚Shopping Queen‘.

The book that presents Guido Maria Kretschmer is called ‚Anziehungskraft. Stil kennt keine Größe‘ [Attraction. Style doesn’t know a size]and is his first book. Very excited I look at the first few pages, I haven’t thought I’ll get the book that early because there were delivery bottleneck because of the high demand.
I’m delighted at once. The book looks very expensive. The binder is made out of paperboard and it's also well printed. The pages are thick and coloured marked at the side for each chapter. I start reading immediately and I don't habe to take a bookmark because there's a nice fillet included.
The introduction makes me laugh because I know why I bought the book. I'm succumb to his charms.
It's wonderful reading the first book for weeks that's not for my term paper. I read a book because I want to read it. At page 15 I roll my eyes when I read 'How arise trends?'. It seems like Guido will make it in my bibliography as well.
Eight pages later Guido starts describing ten typical bodyforms, he tells the pros and cons of each type and gives fashion tips. I have to smirk when I read about the ‚sympathischen Brett‘ [kind board] because a lady comes to my mind at once. 100 pages later, I wonder which type I am, probably a mix..
I think it’s so kind how Guido talks about his mother, you feel in each word the deep connection they have and I remember some shoppinghelper-mums who got a lot of compliments of Guido.
After the ‚Buddhagirl‘ the last type, I read the briefings of the ten shapes. And also the chapters ‚Guidos Kleiderschrank‘‚ ‚Guidos Kaufrausch‘ and ‚Warenkunde‘ [Guido’s cupboard, Guido’s buying binge and merchandise knowledge]make it hard for me to stop reading my new favourite book at 1:45.
235 pages Guido Maria Kretschmer. They are full on funny stories, useful tips, a lot of drawings and the known charm of Mr. Shopping Queen.

It’s great fun reading the book, I’d really like reading it for a second time now. There are just two tiny things I’d change: I would like to read more stories about representatives of the different types and I’d do the chapter with the briefing at first.
I give the book 9,9 out of 10 points and am looking forward to a new book!
The price is 17,95€ in Germany, in Austria 18,50€.
Great fun with reading, your

A beginner’s guide to Holi

[25.07.2013]
Dear readers,
what an exciting weekend! On Sunday I was at the Holi in Bayreuth (small city in Bavaria). As a ‘buntes Bonbon’ (coloured sweetie) I was there because of the pretty colours but also because curiosity was so big!
There are more and more Holis in Germany and I think also in other parts of Europe or the whole world. But I couldn’t find some necessary tips on the internet, so I decided to talk about this topic a bit.
   1. Don’t take a camera with you! It’s just annoying when you’d like to dance and there are for sure enough professional photographers who hold the best moments. Furthermore the cam of your mobile phone is enough for this day.
   2. If you wanna take your camera with you nevertheless, ask before (!) the event, if you’re allowed to take it into the area, make a screenshot of the permission and take it with you as well. Please wrap your camera very well. Put a shift of cling wrap on the lens and then fold the whole camera with two or three other shifts of cling wrap and tape it well. Finally but it in a plastic bag but make a hole of the lens. So it’s powder-proof. But unfortunately not that much water-proof.
Or just buy a disposable cam for 2 or 3€.
  3. Look for a chaperon (if you’re under 18 or 21 maybe in other countries) or a written permission from your parents.
   4. Pack a small bag (one day before if that’s possible). It should include:
- ticket
- parents‘ permission
- ID
- money
- many tissues
- sunglasses
- sunscreen

- mobile phone
- plastic bags (for your mobile phone…)
  5. Don’t inhale the powder directly and close your eyes when the powder is thrown. Even better: put a tissue on your mouth, nose and eyes for not getting any irritations.
   6. Take enough money with you to buy something to drink. It’ll probably be hot and I’m sure nobody likes to collapse there. If there’ll be an accident please make clear where the paramedics are before!
   7. Don’t think about your appearance, just have fun!
  8. For all girls: Pin up your hair. After washing them three times my hair is still pink!
  9.  Wear really old stuff and not the new summer dress, the colour isn’t so easy to wash out, my underwear’s still coloured.
I hope that doesn’t sound deterrent, these are just tips to make the Holi more comfortable for you. If you were there ones, I’m sure you’d like to be there every week. It was such a great fun in Bayreuth and it was the perfect mix of summer, music and folly.
Have fun & maybe we’ll meet us at one of the next Holis :)
PS.: An insider’s tip for all girls: The most handsome guys were in Bayreuth just at the beginning, so don’t arrive pretty at the end.. And look out for the ‚free hugs guys‘ they were really yummy :D

Word of the month 07/13

[16.07.2013]
Hey you,
well, I have to say one thing: you're very patient! Time passes so fast. On time overslept and it's the 1st and I'm spoilt for choice about the word of the month. Because I have no good idea you have to wait and it's the 2nd der 3rd or even the 9th and then still my English followers have to wait. Luckily I have six free lessons and so there's some time to translate. Finally it's hot here, so I decided to present you one of my collecting passions.

It's really hard, I can't leave a shop without buying one. During the last two years my collection increased considerably and so I can choose which sunglasses I want to wear for each outfit. Underneath you can see some of my favorites but at first I wanna tell you what sunglasses mean to me. It's marvelous to walk around with such a thing on your nose. The world doesn't just shine in other colours, the sunbeams spot on you and so you shimmer even more. Look at these pictures:

The first is photographed as always and the second through my leopard glasses. Every time I wore these glasses for more than 10 minutes, I don't wanna take them off because the colours are so great. The yellow/brown glasses make the environment seem to be softer, warmer and much more harmonic. The following photos only show a few of my glasses, so I ask you: Have you any idea where to put them? A shelf or any DIY? If you don't know, I have to continue thinking about it and present you my idea here ;)

Here you can see my leo glasses I've already mentioned before. Love these colours <3

Now there are my typical Samu Haber glasses with only one glass. And yes, I bought them just like that!

For the video shoot of Danzare I bought this model in the 50s look, even if I haven't worn it.

The white one was a mispurchase, it doesn't suit me but I really like the form.

My favourite model in classic black <3

The only pilot specs in my collection but it's already damaged..

And here my two models in red.

Green, green, green :)

[15.06.2013]
To revisit the word of May 'nature', I chose green as the colour that will accompany us during the next four weeks. And well, it's beautifuk to finally see anything green outside, after everything was just gray.
The picture (1) shows you my new door plate. I'm very happy about the great outcome, I let fabricate the plate only for me ;) It wasn't very cheap with its 17€ price but I think it is worth! A wonderful souvenir of our finnish boys, which you can hang up without seeming to be tennielike.

Photo (2) shows to different nail polish, I really like to use. I prefer painting my finger nails with the dark one but then the foot nails get light green. I bought the light one at Claire's, it is very flowing but its colour excuses everything. And the dark one is of the brand Kiko, the nail polish paradise :)

On picture (3) you can see a lady's mantle in my neighbour's garden. Well, I probably don't have to explain more about it, just a wonderful photo. You can see how uncomplicated but beautifuk the nature is.

Photo (4) wasn't easy to take because I just have two green things in my armoire, although the colour suits everybody I think. With brown hair & something green you get somehow a kind of brightness and blonds spark with it. I bought the oversized blouse at C&A this year, if your body isn't in summer feeling yet, a oversized thing is fantastic ;)

New category

[12.06.2013]
Hello my sweeties,
to short the waiting time fort he ‚Word oft he month‘ for you, I had a new idea. Every month there will be - beside the word - also a colour that will accompany us during four weeks. The post will be online at the 14th or 15th every month. But just let surprise you, it’s a bit complicated to describe what I mean (I even don’t know it exactly on myself). But it’s sure that you can see every month four beautiful photos which include the colour.  You can see the first pics already this Friday! I won’t tell you the colour yet but of course you can guess :)
Now a tip: The colour is shown at the pic underneath ;)
Have a nice day,

Caught between two stools

[20.05.2013]
It feels very great to have finally a ‚free‘ evening after three weeks. Because there’s nothing exciting this evening, I decided to go online. Finally blogging again, finally getting inspired by Samu’s voice and finally chat a bit. Actual, I loved chatting with friends who live too far away to visit them. That was also the case during the last weeks and I wrote with some people, I had no contact for a longer time, as well.
That sounds all very good and I‘m very thankful for these beautiful hours. But what do you do if you’re at the same point that was responsible for the last break, after a week? If you open every message with a smile, if you get along well with somebody, if you get along too well with somebody? If you doubt that boys and girls can just be friends? If too many feelings come into play and that not just from one side? If everything was perfect but the other is already taken? Of course you stop chatting and spending time together. Because you want the other to be fine and you want to rescue yourself before it would hurt you.
I’m caught between two stools. I want the friendship that makes ma smile and gives me moral uplift. But I know that there will be too many feelings and we have to make a decision. This nice game will go on and on..
Maybe I’ll be strong enough to bowl down the stools or sit on them one day.

A friendship between a boy and a girl is a wonderful thing but I think it can only work till a special degree. Cause I’ll never tell the things I tell my best (female) friend to a boy who is just a friend and not my boyfriend..
Are you in a similar situation or do you think a friendship like this could work?

The end of an era

[21.04.2013]
I feel a bit like Barney Stinson at the moment. For me, there’s also an era ending. It’s not like his ‘pharma girls era’ it’s about my lilac Chucks.
Last week I read in the new Laviva (German magazine) a great column about this topic. Are Chucks something that lasts forever? Is it something special to wear them with 30 or 40 years? Or are they just ‘urban and casual’? Miriam Collée’s text deals with this questions. For me, all answers are clear immediately. Of course, Chucks are something for the eternity, something ageless. Like a Louis Vuitton bag: simple, classic and stylish. I’m not a fan of several brands, it doesn’t bother me if a shirt costs 10 or 100€ but I can’t resist again these brands. The second question is answered very quickly as well: Yeah, why shouldn’t you wear these classics with 40 years? They are All Stars, to wear them is an honour, Chucks aren’t just footwear. Wearing them is an attitude towards life. And yes, maybe are these shoes urban but they are NOT casual. I really get angry, if somebody says things like this.
Meanwhile I got my second pair of Chucks. The first were turquoise and my ‘new’ ones are lilac. Unfortunately the lilacs are afflicted with infirmity but I can’t break up with these shoes. I think it’s always hard for women to throw away their shoes but it’s even harder if they are Chucks. I experienced so many things with these shoes. March 2011: I met my favourite football player -Pekka Lagerblom- with these shoes. Of course I wore them also at the next match. They were with me in Paris, Berlin, Nuremberg and half of Italy. I had my best date in them and survived hours of queuing for my first Sunrise Avenue concert. I managed my dancing class in them and they were always a faithful base for drawing in all boring geography lessons. The first time, I drove a car, I wore them and also at my first match of the KSC. These are just a few moments, I had with them. If I look at these Chucks, I don’t see shoes, I see all the things I’ve told you. They tell so many stories, more than a photo album ever will. Can you just throw a thing like this away? No, definitely not! I have to buy new ones but hopefully I’ll have as many perfect moments with them, as I had with my old ones.
I’m sure, I’m not gonna throw away my old Chucks and how Barney says: Everytime, an era ends, a new begins.

Mirror of the soul

[17.02.2013]
The title might sound a bit mysterious, but don't be afraid, it's nothing strange ;)
Most people say the eyes are the mirror of everybody’s' soul and probably that's true. When you look in somebody's eyes for the first time, you suddenly know if this person will be the love of your life, your best friend or the biggest idiot ever. You can also read in eyes, you see every feeling. If they shine, when anybody's happy or sparkle out of range. And tears don't find their way out of this not for nothing.
But I personally made the experience that not just my eyes show my feelings. With stress, unhappiness and sorrow, I have to grapple for weeks on my nails. Two years ago, it was the first time that my fingernails split, a very disgusting thing and I think it’s better, not to show you some photos. I researched a bit on the internet, what are the reasons for this problem and what I could do against it. Unfortunately my search wasn’t very successful because there were only a few texts in the www. Anywhere I read that also mental things can be a cause that panders that problem but they date back for about two or three months and at that time this was right. I didn’t find lot of possibilities against it, so I bought a bizarre white slime in a pharmacy. Looked very manky, tasted like this and it didn’t help, as well. Fortunately I finally found diatomaceous earth, it’s not expensive, about 6-8€ for pills for 10 weeks and the powder is cheaper. It helps against split nails, hair and is also good for skin. Again three months later, my problem was away. Since this day I take the diatomaceous earth every day, but now I can see the Christmas stress..
I heard about a few people, having the same problem, but having no idea what to do. Here a few aspects:
No stress, but that’s of course good for your whole body.
Take diatomaceous earth, you have nearly no chance without it and it’s good, if your hair grows faster, isn’t it?
Even if the nails have a scruffy outlook, don’t use nail lacquer, that really makes it worse.
And my secret tip for beautiful and healthy nails is nail oil. I had an empty baby bottle and put some ‚alverde[1] Körperöl[2]‘ in it. If you use it once a day, you nails will say thank you and look perfect.

500 times yellow!

[28.01.2013, 22:04]
For a few weeks now you could see the commercial ‘500’ and today was the day. The 500th episode of the TV series ‘The Simpsons’ was shown in German TV. I don’t know if you’ve seen the episode in other countries as well today. I am addicted the Simpsons for a few years and I was completely enthused when I saw the anniversary series today. The act was fantastic! At first all residents just see the bad things of the Simpsons family until they recognize that they aren’t angels as well, until whole Springfield is taken to another place finally. But I think it’s strange, the school chefs join the as the last ones..
This episode reminds me of the one, a meteor should disturb Springfield and all people come together in the Flanders’ house until it’s too full and Ned is the one who leaves. Both work together – against one single person but in the end again the whole village.
I liked everything at the 500th series but mainly the beginning when Milhouse writes something on the blackboard because Bart should have a free day. That was so cute :)
In my opinion, Matt Groening created a fascinating series with the Simpsons, which become more exciting, more stirring and more profound with each episode.  The only thing I have to criticize is the way it is drawn today. I prefer the old ones in the retro style with all edges and the dusty quality. I think it has more personality than the ‘perfect’ computersh.. you have in these days.
Dear Maggie, dear Lisa, dear Marge, dear Bart and dear Homer, I’m looking forward to the next 500!
