I'll stop wearing black...

...when they invent a darker color.

I read this sentence in the last glamour magazine and I really liked it. I'm not just a black wearer, but I love this 'color'. You can just combine it with everything and it's alawys a bit in the background. Last month you couldn't read this post but you can see pictures in my second fave color right now!
Because of my term paper about Paris' fashion, I worked a lot with this color. Isn't one of the most famous dresses the little black dress? It was invented by Coco Chanel. After the death of her big love Boy Capel she started working again but all seemed to be black. She let painted her whole flat in black and this color even found a place in her creations. Before black was just used for sorrow clothes and attendants but Chanel made a revolution with her dress. I still remember another story concerning this topic. When Chanel was in the US some people wanted to shoot a movie about her, Hepburn was chosen as main part. Chanel was content with the idea of being played by Audrey Hepburn, the young beautiful actor. But that was a mistake, Katharine Hepburn, about 20 years older than Audrey should play the role. Chanel was very angry about it. Isn't it ironic that Audrey Hepburn brought the little black dress back in the focus a few years later with her famous movie Breakfast at Tiffany's? And Monifa Miller is very right with the sentence 'A black dress, it's never going to go out of style.' In the following photo you can see Chanel in her celebrated dress.

Now let's go on with fashion because what would the winter be without a coat? Last year I bought this pretty black one. I didn't like the button and so my kind mum changed them for me. Now it's kind of an unique copy. I love the style even I don't know why. But I'm looking forward to the new things I'll experience with it. Waiting several hours for the next Sunrise Avenue concert or running through Bayreuth for seeing Frederic Heidorn. We'll see but I'm sure we'll be a great team! 

That was probably enough fashion for one month. The most obvious black thing in winter is the sky. Even if it's before 04pm you have to turn on the light, I hate it :/ This night sky might be romantic but I prefer being outside till 10pm without needing any light. Summer, I miss you!

A purple dream

Hello my dears,
Today I had again the agony of choice concerning the colour of the month. I think you recognized that everything delayed a bit but I wanted to tell you about my Europe trip before.  

As you can read the todays colour is purple.
This colours has so many different faces, a very powerful tone or an a bit cold lilac, everywhere we see it.
Slowly there’s the time I miss summer and so this photo with chives petals has to be here. I was so proud I made it before the bumblebee flow away ;) 
And here a tip for next year: have you already used the petals as well? They taste like the other parts of the plant but look much better on top of a salad. You really have to try it!

And also this photo reminds me of the summer. I was so happy about my plum crop. Hopefully it’ll be better next year.

On the next picture you see y famous table and my cabinet, most of you probably know already the table from a lot of words of the months. By the way I painted the table on my own, originally it was red but sometime I wanted a new colour! And after the table a lot of other furniture followed :)

And here on the last photo you can see my favourite bench in Regensburg. It isn’t purple but the bag on it is. This is the bag I made a few weeks ago for the Pfaff competition. I wanted to show it you earlier but somehow I was afraid you wouldn’t like it.  I really like it and it is my faithful companion for a long time now. It is made of a lot of different materials and it looks like a typical Finnish stamp. You really have all eyes on you with this bag and the different parts you stand out from the mass. Soon I’ll upload other pictures were you can see it better. Do you like my idea?

Yellow power

Today half of the month is already over and that’s why you’ll read the post of the colour of the month now. To counter the gray sky I chose yellow today.

Although I prefer green plants my parents love a big garden with colourful flowers and so the sunflowers shine on me when I look out of the window. Well, not now because the only shining thing is the moon and that’s exactly what I hate in autumn: it’s dark at 9 o’clock.

With sunflower I gave my grandmas a big smile by the way:

Because we live so far away from them I send them sunflower seeds and a nice suitable poem instead of real flowers. A few months later my grandma showed me very proudly a 3m sunflower I gave her :) 

What do you say about this nice yellow piece of plastic? After Rikus towel the best souvenir of the concert in March. It has a special place in my room and I needed a three month to find the right frame in half Germany. Thanks Pforzheim for the perfect one ;)

Next picture shows my favourite bonbons ‚Lemon Ginger‘ they are just yummy. Although I should be for all colourful bonbons I prfer the yellow ones. 

And what would yellow be without my favourite series of America: the Simpsons.

Pink Lady

Hello :)

Finally I had some time in this whole posting chaos to write my post about the colour of the month. This time the decision was pretty easy because I’ll go to a wedding in two weeks where I’ll wear my ball dress. Because I’m nervous about this the whole August ‘pink’ became my colour this month. Well, now I just have to look for other photos in this colour..

when I was looking for the ‚manly‘ colours blue and green, I forgot how many things in my room are beautiful pink.
Pretty strange is maybe this picture of Dr. Haber at the Out of style tour last year in Nuremberg when he shone in powerful pink. In such a moment my heart beats faster because of two reasons ;)

A bit tenderer than Samu, a rose of my grandma’s garden that reminds me of the great times there. Oh no, I already get doleful, so I’ll better go on with the next photo.

These two monkeys are cute, aren’t they? I like monkeys very much and when I saw these hooks I had to buy them immediately. The pink anything on the left is by the way a beret, I bought as a souvenir last year in Paris. I wear them very often in winter although I don’t like caps very much.

Last but not least my dress for the school leavers’ ball. I got a lot of compliments, not just for the dress but also for the courage of wearing such a colour instead of the classic ones like dark blue or dark red. I loved my dress and I’m so happy about the wedding in two weeks when my ball dress is allowed to leave the cupboard!

The royals' blue

Hello my sweeties,

actual it wasn’t planned that the colour of the month follows the word of the month without anything between it. Shame on me. The main reason for that is that I was very busy last week and that I designed and sewed a bag. That wasn’t of course just for fun. I’d like to take part at a competition called 'Nähtalent 2013' of Pfaff and also like to spend an afternoon with Guido Maria Kretschmer, the first prize. Luckily I didn’t count the hours I spend with making this bag, in this case I’d probably freak out.

On Monday I did a night shift because the first bag wasn’t perfect and I had to start with a second one.. After five hours I gave up and will hopefully finish it these days. As well, I won’t give the first one away because I love it so much. It isn’t perfect and I hope that doesn’t seem to be bigheaded but I’m so proud I made it to produce such a nice thing. You have to wait for a photo of it til the contest is over. But there’s one thing I’ll tell you: ist colour. Beautiful royal blue. That’s the reason why blue definitely won the battle for the colour of the month!

When I think at this colour, I imagine the sky and the sea. I don’t know why both is blue, the physics lessons about this topic was just too boring ;) Then cornflowers and a nice letter, written with blue ink, come to my mind. And -last but not least- the powerful KSC-Blue and our Finnish friends. While writing this I recognize how many things are blue and how colourless world would be without it..

Green, green, green :)

To revisit the word of May 'nature', I chose green as the colour that will accompany us during the next four weeks. And well, it's beautifuk to finally see anything green outside, after everything was just gray.
The picture (1) shows you my new door plate. I'm very happy about the great outcome, I let fabricate the plate only for me ;) It wasn't very cheap with its 17€ price but I think it is worth! A wonderful souvenir of our finnish boys, which you can hang up without seeming to be tennielike.

Photo (2) shows to different nail polish, I really like to use. I prefer painting my finger nails with the dark one but then the foot nails get light green. I bought the light one at Claire's, it is very flowing but its colour excuses everything. And the dark one is of the brand Kiko, the nail polish paradise :)

On picture (3) you can see a lady's mantle in my neighbour's garden. Well, I probably don't have to explain more about it, just a wonderful photo. You can see how uncomplicated but beautifuk the nature is.

Photo (4) wasn't easy to take because I just have two green things in my armoire, although the colour suits everybody I think. With brown hair & something green you get somehow a kind of brightness and blonds spark with it. I bought the oversized blouse at C&A this year, if your body isn't in summer feeling yet, a oversized thing is fantastic ;)

Hello my sweeties,

to short the waiting time fort he ‚Word oft he month‘ for you, I had a new idea. Every month there will be - beside the word - also a colour that will accompany us during four weeks. The post will be online at the 14th or 15th every month. But just let surprise you, it’s a bit complicated to describe what I mean (I even don’t know it exactly on myself). But it’s sure that you can see every month four beautiful photos which include the colour.  You can see the first pics already this Friday! I won’t tell you the colour yet but of course you can guess :)

Now a tip: The colour is shown at the pic underneath ;)
